Privacy Policy of the Fun Times Singers Website
The Fun Times Singers is a community chorus with no commercial objectives
other than sustaining the operations of the chorus through concert
and membership fundraising activities. To that end, very little data
of a private nature is collected or maintained as part of chorus operations.
Specifically, no data regarding your financial affiliations (bank accounts,
credit cards, etc.) is ever solicited, collected, or saved on the website.
The following describes any private information collected by
the website and how the information is used.
In no case is any of the following information shared with a third
party (commercial or otherwise) without the permission of the
members involved.
- Member Personal Information —
The typical contact information (name, address, phone number,
email address)
is maintained to facitilate contacting our active and inactive chorus
members and others with guest accounts.
This information is available to other website members who have
validated their association with our chorus by signing in to the website
with a valid user account and password.
Public visitors (i.e. page requestors who have not signed in) do not have
access to the personal contact information.
- Visitor Contact Information —
Information collected as part of contacting the
Fun Times Singers functionaries (on the Contact Us page for example)
is used for just that purpose (i.e. responding to the visitor's
comments or request for information).
The contact information is not shared or used for other purposes and
is not maintained any longer than is necessary to conclude the
business at hand.
- Individual Photographs —
Individual photos (mug shots) are collected for use by registered
website members to associate names with faces to facilitate
social bonding.
These photographs are not shared with website visitors
who are not validated members.
- Group Photographs —
Group photographs taken at the concert on a regular basis are available
to any visitor of the website even if not signed-in.
- Activity Photographs —
Photographs of chorus activities may appear on the website from time
to time, usually without any indication of the identity of any individuals
in the picture.
Any person who is part of an activity photograph on the
Fun Times Singers website may request that their likeness not be
shown by contacting the webmaster (see the Contact Us page).
The individual's likeness will
be removed from the photo gallery either by removing the entire
photograph or by obscuring the likeness through photo editing.
- Email Announcements —
Personal contact information may be used on a periodic,
but not frequent basis, to send announcements regarding upcoming concerts,
organizational news, or information regarding the use
of the website.
Any inactive member or guest member of the website may opt out of these
broadcast emails by sending a request to
the webmaster using our
Contact Us
page or by sending an
email to
unsubscribe@FunTimesSingers.org.
Active members are discouraged from requesting to be excluded from
the broadcast emails because of the potential for missing timely
chorus announcements, but requests for opting out will be considered
for special circumstances.
- Feature Usage —
Logs indicating the usage of the features of
the website are kept for a short time (a few days)
for use by the webmaster when assisting members who are having
difficulties using the website.
This information is available to the webmaster only.
- Music Practice History —
A log of the use of the various musical practice tools is maintained
for longer periods (typically a week or so) and is accessible by
a limited number of website administrative
personnel (including the musical
director) to evaluate trends in chorus participation.
- Registration History —
A log of changes to the membership roll
is maintained to provide a history of
individual member participation in the Fun Times Singers sessions over
the years. This log may be made available to other registered users
of the website for informational purposes.
- Page Access Logs —
Logs recording page accesses (typical of almost all websites)
are used to produce aggregate data regarding traffic
and access errors for the website and are used
strictly for keeping the website functioning properly.
These are shared only in aggregate form
which does not identify individual users.
Fun Times Singers reserves the right to change these policies at
any time, however, users of the website will be notified of any
changes more significant than formatting or typographical error corrections.
